Here’s an opportunity for female entrepreneurs! She Leads Africa is accepting applications for their Accelerator program. It is “a 3-month program designed to identify, support and fund the next generation of Nigeria’s brightest female entrepreneurs”.
Selected applicants will spend a week per month at a residency in Lagos, where they will receive training and get access to some of Nigeria’s most prominent business men and women. They will also spend three weeks per month at home, implementing the lessons they’ve learnt, while still receiving mentorship and support. At the end of the 3-month program, they will present their businesses to local and international investors and media. The top business will receive a 2 million naira investment from the SLA team.
To apply, you must have an already launched business which is based in Nigeria, and less than 3 years old. The business should have at least one woman as a shareholder between the ages of 18-35. Also, the business should not have raised more than $50,000 in external funding.
If you’re interested in applying, be sure to attend an info session during the week of April 11th (in Lagos, Abuja or online). Deadline for submission is 31st May.
