Q: Where did Jidenna spend his weekend?
A: Enugu!
‘Classic Man’ and Wondaland music sensation Jidenna arrived in Enugu on Friday. On tour to promote his forthcoming album ‘Long Live the Chief’, he flew into Enugu, the city of his childhood.
There was a meet-and-greet at Urban Radio 94.5 Fm, where he got to interact with fans. He was hosted on air by Osarogie, Radio’s Big Brother. After the on-air session, he sat down for a press conference and took questions from different media houses, including Click042 reps @Aruby_k and @Steppino45.
Jidenna told us that he believes in the power of music to make social change. He was also of the opinion that we need to develop our infrastructure and maintain high standards in our academic institutions. He mentioned plans of launching a special scholarship programme in honour of his father, Oliver Mobisson.
He also spoke against racism and the need to restructure society and remove the stigma that often comes with being of African descent.
We asked him some personal questions and here’s what we learned:
– His relationship with Janelle Monae is strictly business.
– He doesn’t have a celebrity crush, and wouldn’t mind if we help him find someone.
– His favourite meal ever is isi ewu.
Since Jidenna is always clothed in dapper suits and stunning ankara get-ups, we thought to ask him (on behalf of the ladies who love him) whether he had abs. His reply-
