It’s tough being a writer in Nigeria, but there’s great news! You could win up to 1 million naira and a publishing deal in the Dusty Manuscript contest.
Brought to you by GTBank, Okadabooks and Kachifo publishers, the Dusty Manuscript contest is here to encourage and empower writers who have been looking for entry into the industry.
To participate, click here to submit a new and unpublished manuscript of at least 25,000 words. Don’t forget to read the guidelines!
There will be something for the best 25 entries and the prizes are broken down thus:
1st Prize: ₦1,000,000 Naira + publishing contract with Kachifo Ltd under their Breeze imprint.
2nd Prize: ₦500,000 Naira + publishing contract with Kachifo Ltd under their Breeze imprint.
3rd Prize: ₦250,000 Naira + publishing contract with Kachifo Ltd under their Breeze imprint.
The remaining shortlisted authors with the exception of the top 3 will get their books e-published on okadabooks. Top 25 shortlisted authors receive a two-day bootcamp training on writing, marketing and branding.
Submissions close 12:00am midnight on 31st March, 2018. The long list will be announced May 2018.
