University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus is marking this year’s International Youth Day with an essay competition for its students. Here’s the message from the Department of Student Affairs:
“University of NigeriaStudent Affairs Department, UNEC wishes to announce to UNEC Students that the International Youth Day 2017 will be marked on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Main Hall, UNEC by 11.00am.
The United Nations’ theme for this year’s International Youth Day is “Youth Building Peace”. Part of the activities marking the Day is an essay competition on “The Role of Youth in National Integration”. UNEC Students are invited to participate in the essay competition.
Entries should be submitted in both hard and soft copies to the Secretary, International Youth Day Committee, Student Affairs Department, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, Enugu, and email: ndubuisi.ucheya@unn.edu.ng. Deadline for submission is Friday, August 4, 2017.
Prizes will be awarded as follows: N50,000 – 1st Prize; N30,000 – 2nd Prize; and N20,000 – 3rd Prize.”
