The 2016 Etisalat Prize for Flash Fiction is Open for Entries

Since it began in 2013, the award, which incorporates the Flash Fiction category, is now considered one of, if not the most prestigious prize for African fiction.

The flash fiction category is open to all writers of unpublished short stories who are of African citizenship, resident in Africa or not. Entries are to be submitted online through their website and should not exceed 300 words. Entries close October 14 while voting will open to the public from the 1st to the 30th of November.

The winner will be announced at the Award ceromony in March 2017 and will get £1000, while two runners-up will also get £500 each.
