LESSONS LEARNT FROM ADEKUNLE GOLD AND SIMI’S PRIVATE WEDDING

Few weeks ago, Nigerian artistes Adekunle Gold and Simi tied the nuptial knot which was a private wedding with supposedly 300 guests in attendance which by the way seems like a world record but for context, Nigerian record.

In this write-up, I will be sharing with you what I have learnt from their wedding. Let’s dive in…….

First, in all things do what makes you happy and in this case your partner also as long as it doesn’t cause an immediate harm to people around you. Pay no attention to naysayers or the self imposed counsellors because no one and I repeat NO ONE knows what’s best for you.

Secondly, less is MORE. A celebrity’s wedding took place without all the wedding shenanigans of pre-wedding photos, the hashtags and the rest of it. It was just two people in love celebrating their union. P.S: Not saying I am not a fan of wedding shenanigans but it was beautiful to witness one without it.

Also, memorable moments are for people to experience, and it’s not the time to whip out our phones to record a thousand videos for social media.

Previously, I pointed out, ‘Do what makes you happy’. Again, do you, do what works for you, and what fuels your peace of mind.

Also, putting out everything about you out there has a way of jinxing things. Call it superstition, I don’t really know, but the scrutiny alone can mess up things. Stay woke.

Last but not the least, on social-media we have comments like, “why will they have such a private wedding without including their fans, don’t they know they are celebrities” blah blah and are probably the same persons bashed  Banky W and Adesuwa few years back that “their own is too much”, so you can’t please everyone, which leads back to my earlier point; just do you.

We have come to the end of ‘Lessons learnt from Adekunle Gold and Simi’s wedding. Kindly share what you learnt below in the comment section.
